Focused Awareness Meditation is a simple, yet powerful, natural process which progressively improves the balance of the physical nervous system through the regular alternation of profound relaxation with normal daily activity. It uses a very simple, focusing procedure to experience expanded levels of awareness, while releasing stress.

The process involves focusing the mind to create balance and harmony between the intellect, body and emotions in a gentle and simple way. When these parts of our being integrate together harmoniously, a fourth function, intuition, comes into conscious awareness.

Most branches of medical science agree that diseases are stress related. This is not hard to understand when we look carefully at the word itself; dis-ease, meaning lack of ease or lack of natural harmony. In our technological world everything seems to be speeding up and at the same time many social systems (families, health, relationships) are breaking down. This can be extended to include ecology systems with increased pollution, ozone layer depletion and chronic weather changes.

Never has there been a more important time to come back to the peace of natural harmony. Never has there been a more important time to learn to effectively relax. Every individual exerts an influence upon the rest of humanity, and the quality of life and peace on this planet is determined by how much tension we all carry. World peace begins with each person.
